Jeremiah Bornfield is a composer that is deeply interested in creating music that entertains and nourishes spirit. He comes from a background in high baroque counterpoint and gangsta rap. From orchestral scoring to piano improvisation, instrumental collaborations with other artists and creating music for commercial media he is dedicated to bringing quality with equal joy and perseverance, always focusing on completing work with beauty as a number one priority.

Since earning his masters degree in composition at Hunter College in 2009, Jeremiah has created musical commissions for The St Petersburg String Quartet, Lloyd Arriola, Trudy Craney, Mary Rowell, Alexander Gilman, Geoffrey Burleson, Lech Antonio Uszynski, Helen Lin and many other leading classical performers and ensembles. His output includes three one act multimedia operas, two concerti, several string quartets, and many works for piano, soloists and chamber ensembles. Jeremiah has also studied composition at Juilliard’s evening division and participated in workshops on film scoring and commercial music at NYU.

His new classical music has been heard and premiered at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Beijing Central Conservatory, DiMenna Center and National Concert Hall Taipei. His work writing music for award winning animators has been seen at Walter Reade Theater, SVA Theater and Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art among others. Some of Jeremiah’s commercial contracts have been awarded by Duotone Audio Group, AR New York, Cassie Boy Productions and Davies and Starr in NYC. He has written a runway show for New York Fashion Week and has written music for a dozen commercial advertisements featuring PayPal, Rizzoli Books, Duty Free Shopping co branded by Chloe, Michael Kors, Clarins, Tumi, Jaeger LeCoultre, and Hermes. He is a member of BMI, Society of Composers and Lyricists and is an Emerging Talent Composer in the Manhattan Producers Alliance, as well as composer in residence at CICA Music Festival.
